Join Our Shell Recycling Team

Massachusetts Oyster Project is seeking applicants for a paid role on our shell recycling team. We are hiring for two different areas on the Cape this year. Click on the links below to learn more.

In 2023, the program diverted over 55,000 pounds of oyster shells from going to the landfill. Instead, these shell will be used to support new generations of native oysters. That means cleaner water, enhanced biodiversity, and increased economic and recreational harvest opportunities.

The Massachusetts Oyster Project is a volunteer-driven 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The organization is dedicated to strengthening our coastal environment by restoring native shellfish populations to our beaches and coastal estuaries through oyster cultivation, shell recycling, education and advocacy.
