Collin Buckner

Board Member

Collin originally moved to Massachusetts from Cincinnati, Ohio in 2018 for a national year of service with the AmeriCorps Cape Cod program where he served with the Falmouth Shellfish Department and Barnstable County Regional Emergency Planning Committee. While there, Collin got hands-on experience with municipal shellfish propagation projects across Cape Cod that have inspired him to ponder the possibilities of what shellfish can contribute to their communities.

Since then, Collin has lived between New England and the Gulf Coast and worked in emergency management and disaster response roles for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, American Red Cross, and water and wastewater industry. His passion for the outdoors brought him back to natural resources as a Natural Resource Officer and Deputy Shellfish Constable for the Towns of Barnstable and Falmouth. His interest and enthusiasm for the outdoors drives him to stay connected and involved with natural resource management efforts.

In his free time, Collin enjoys cheering on his hometown Cincinnati Reds and Bengals as well as finding new places to hike and practice his amateur nature photography. He is currently the Assistant Emergency Management Director and Compliance Officer for the City of Gloucester and Chairs the Cape Ann Regional Emergency Planning Committee.
