Working with local and state agencies to advance our mission
Our advocacy for oyster restoration
At Mass Oyster Project, we champion oysters' vital role in restoring coastal ecosystems, improving water quality, and protecting shorelines. Through dedicated advocacy, we strive to shape policies that support oyster reef rehabilitation, ensure science-based management of shellfish resources, and secure funding for restoration initiatives.
Our efforts include:
• Collaborating with lawmakers and agencies to promote sustainable restoration policies.
• Educating the public and decision-makers about healthy oyster populations' ecological and economic benefits.
• Empowering communities through citizen science, volunteer opportunities, and grassroots campaigns.
Together with our partners and supporters, we are building momentum for lasting environmental change—ensuring oyster reefs thrive for generations.
