Yarmouth Upweller

Our newest upweller was launched in 2024. This upweller is a joint educational project by The Yarmouth Shellfish Collaborative, a partnership between ARC Hatchery, Friends of Bass River, Yarmouth Division of Natural Resources, Mass Oyster Project, and Yarmouth Division of Public Works.

The Yarmouth Shellfish Collaborative is an educational enrichment effort designed to increase awareness of the environmental benefits of oysters. This upweller is mighty. We’re growing 60,000 oysters this summer, which will be planted in the Bass River.
